Initial Situation

The client was working with large and very heavy boilers, where achieving precise welding around the entire perimeter was a challenge. Operators faced difficulties in producing straight and uniform welds, which affected both the quality and efficiency of the process.

Solution Implemented

Our proposal for the client was to use a 2000 mm welding robot, equipped with a 500 kg 2-axis positioner and a torch cleaner. This setup allowed for precise positioning of the heavy boilers and facilitated uniform welds around the entire perimeter. The robot provided stability, accuracy, and flexibility, reducing operator effort and ensuring superior weld quality.

Results

The implementation of the robot with positioner brought significant improvements to the welding process. Welds became much more precise and uniform, reducing operator effort and the time required to complete each boiler. In addition, the aesthetic and functional quality of the welds increased considerably, making the process safer and more efficient for the team.
