Initial Situation

The Technical College of Iași aimed to modernize its mechanical workshop to attract students and provide them with more advanced learning opportunities. The objective was to integrate a collaborative robot into the educational process, creating an innovative learning environment aligned with current industry requirements. In this context, the college sought to improve the development of students’ technical skills and to create a more attractive and modern space for education.

Solution Implemented

To support student development and modernize technical education, we implemented a complete educational cell equipped with the Jaka ZU 3 collaborative robot. This robot has a reach of 626 mm and a payload capacity of 3 kg.

Results

The implementation of the educational cell with the Jaka ZU 3 collaborative robot had a significant impact on the learning process. Students gained hands-on experience, developing skills in robot programming and operation. Additionally, the equipment increased interest in the field of robotics, preparing students for future labor market demands. With this collection of modern equipment, the college is supported in becoming a center of excellence for nurturing young talent.
