Our client is a fast-growing fitness chain based in Timișoara, Romania, with over 10 years of experience and a strong presence in the local health & wellness market. By 2024, the brand operated six locations, each offering a wide range of fitness equipment, large-scale aerobic classes, and personal training services delivered by top professionals. As the brand expanded and opened new facilities, the pressure to maintain impeccable hygiene and a high-quality customer experience increased significantly.
THE CHALLENGE
Cleanliness is non-negotiable in the fitness industry. For our client, overnight cleaning was performed manually between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM across approximately 4,000 sqm per location, including workout areas, locker rooms, and other high-traffic zones. Despite employing 4–5 cleaning staff per gym, the team struggled to consistently meet expectations in terms of speed, thoroughness, and overall cleaning quality.
The diversity of floor surfaces added further complexity. Parquet flooring, thin carpeted areas, and tiled zones required different cleaning approaches, resulting in a time-intensive process that still left room for improvement—particularly as the fitness chain continued to scale.
