CLIENT OVERVIEW
Michelini is a well-established auto service company in Romania, with over 30 years of experience and two operational centers in Caransebeș and Reșița. Their comprehensive services include:
● Vehicle repair and maintenance (mechanics, diagnostics, painting)
● ITP (periodic technical inspection)
● Wheel alignment and ADAS calibration
● Tire services (vulcanization), towing, and car rental
The service centers operate 6 days a week, managing a high volume of clients throughout the year.
INITIAL SITUATION:
The nature of automotive work generated constant dirt, dust from mechanical activity, debris and mud from vehicles entering and exiting, and much more. Although Michelini had staff assigned to cleaning duties, manual cleaning was difficult to keep up with.
High activity levels meant that dirt accumulated quickly, impacting the visual cleanliness, workplace safety, and overall operational efficiency.
Key pain points included:

THE SOLUTION
To improve cleaning efficiency and reduce the manual workload, Robot Industries proposed implementing the Pudu CC1, our industrial-grade autonomous floor cleaning robot.

Michelini selected the Pudu CC1 based on its flexibility, coverage, and the ability to run on preset routines outside working hours.

IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS
The robot was configured to focus on sweeping and scrubbing during the day, and full cleaning cycles during the night shift or weekends. The deployment included:
● Mapping of both workshops using the robot’s built-in sensors
● Definition of cleaning zones: mechanical bay, reception area, painting booth
● Programming a cleaning schedule with daily tasks during and after business hours
Training for a staff member to supervise and
monitor usage via the mobile app
RESULTS AFTER IMPLEMENTATION
The implementation of the Pudu CC1 cleaning robot led to immediate and measurable improvements in Michelini’s workshop operations. With the robot in place, cleaning time was reduced and the team’s attention was limited to monitoring and occasional supervision. This freed up staff to focus entirely on core repair and diagnostic work, significantly boosting productivity.
