    Client Overview

The client is a military emergency clinical hospital in Romania, providing a wide range of specialized medical services, including emergency care, diagnostics, surgery, treatment, and hospitalization.

The facility serves both military personnel and civilian patients through multiple medical departments and specialties, supported by dedicated healthcare professionals and modern medical infrastructure.

    Initial Situation

he hospital required an efficient cleaning solution for two floors, each covering approximately 1,000–1,300 m², both finished with medical-grade PVC flooring.

Due to the nature of the flooring, dust, marks, and other dirt were easily visible, making frequent cleaning essential throughout the day. At the same time, both floors experience constant traffic from medical staff, patients, and visitors, which meant the surfaces needed to be cleaned quickly and consistently without disrupting daily hospital activity.

The client was therefore looking for a solution that could maintain a high and consistent level of cleanliness, cover large areas efficiently, and respond to the continuous cleaning demands of a busy healthcare environment.

    Solution Implemented

To efficiently maintain the 2,000–2,600 m² total cleaning area twice per day, the client was provided with a Gausium Ecobot 50 Pro autonomous cleaning robot. The model was selected for its advanced sweeping and scrubbing capabilities, making it well suited for the hospital’s medical-grade PVC flooring.

The robot provides consistent and efficient floor cleaning across both levels while operating around the hospital’s daily activity with minimal disruption. Its advanced navigation technology allows it to dynamically adapt to people and obstacles, while continuously optimizing its cleaning routes.

The solution was also integrated with the hospital’s elevator system, allowing the robot to call and use the lift to move autonomously between floors. This enables a single robot to service both levels and complete the scheduled cleaning cycles with minimal human intervention.

    Results

The implementation of the autonomous cleaning solution significantly reduced the amount of time staff needed to spend on repetitive sweeping and floor washing tasks.

Instead of dedicating several hours each day to maintaining the hospital floors, personnel can now focus on more important and higher-value activities, while the robot handles routine cleaning consistently and according to schedule.

This has helped improve overall operational efficiency, while ensuring that the floors remain clean throughout the day with less manual intervention.
